Wow! A couple of years has gone by. I guess I should update this blog!
This last winter (2025) we did a tour of the midwest – to include KS, MO, IN, KY, AL, MS as well as TX and NM on the way back to Boise. It was amazing – we got to see some pretty neat things (went to Chicago for pizza, saw the Grand Ole Opry, not to mention several national parks).
On our way back through TX over Christmas, we stopped by and saw our friends at Big Beard Battery. While we were there, we did some upgrades!
We finally changed out to 24v – including swapping out our old 12v Quattros for new, shiny 24v Quattros, adding a Victron Autoformer, and installing 900ah of those 24v Beasty Big Beard Batteries.
We’re planning on helping test and support these batteries on our travels – we want to help Todd and Stephanie make the best product possible because we believe in what they are trying to offer for off grid RVers – like us.
Our plan for our next upgrade: trying to stick ~700w panels on the roof instead of these 450’s.
